A few things to know

polite by default

Use polite forms with staff and unfamiliar people; that is the safest default in stations, on platforms, and at ticket machines. Informal forms are mainly for fellow passengers or when the other person already starts speaking informally.

grammar

Common contractions with σε

In everyday Greek, σε contracts before the definite article, so you hear forms like στην αποβάθρα and στον σταθμό. Those are the normal spoken forms at stations and on platforms.

usage

δρομολόγιο means a scheduled service

In 'Πότε είναι το επόμενο δρομολόγιο;' δρομολόγιο means the scheduled service or run. You will see this word on signs, boards, and transit apps.
