В небольшом лесу за городом часто можно было найти много разных птиц и зверей.
Однажды утром Иван решил прогуляться по этому лесу. Он любил слушать пение птиц и смотреть на зелёные деревья. Но в тот день Иван заметил, что в лесу очень тихо — не было ни звука, ни птиц.
Он волновался и стал искать причины такой тишины. Проходя дальше, Иван увидел небольшие следы на земле. Они вели к старому дереву, возле которого лежала большая сеть.
Иван понял, что кто-то ловит животных в лесу. Он подумал, что это плохо и надо помочь лесу.
Позже вечером Иван рассказал о своей находке своему другу Никите, и они вместе пошли в лес, чтобы проверить ситуацию. Они осторожно сняли сеть и положили её в мешок.
Потом Иван позвонил в местный природоохранный центр. Специалисты приехали и объяснили, что ловить животных запрещено, и теперь лес станет безопаснее.
Иван чувствовал, что сделал важное дело, но он всё равно думал о том, почему кто-то хотел причинить вред лесу. Эта история оставила у него много вопросов без ответов.

Notice the language
This pattern is used to say that two things were both absent. It is reusable in many situations: "В парке не было ни людей, ни машин." It means "there were no people and no cars." In the story, it shows that the forest had neither sound nor birds.
