V-기로 하다 / V-기로 결정하다
Use this pattern to say that someone decides or makes a plan to do something. Attach -기로 하다 to the verb stem for a general plan, and use -기로 결정하다 when you want to emphasize a deliberate decision. It is very useful for talking about plans, choices, and future intentions. Example: 다음 주에는 더 일찍 출발하기로 했어요. (We decided to leave earlier next week.) This pattern can be reused in many everyday situations, such as travel plans, study plans, or personal goals.
