No esperaba que aquel viaje en tren fuera a cambiar mi vida.

Me llamo Javier y trabajo en una empresa de publicidad en una ciudad grande. Un viernes por la tarde, después de una semana agotadora, decidí tomar el tren para visitar a unos amigos en un pueblo cercano. El tren estaba lleno, pero logré encontrar asiento junto a una mujer que leía un libro.

Durante el trayecto, empezamos a hablar sin pensar mucho en ello. Ella se llamaba Elena y era profesora de arte en esa pequeña comunidad. Hablamos tanto sobre música, libros y viajes, que el tiempo pareció volar.

Sin embargo, cuando llegamos a la estación, Elena me dijo que solo estaba de paso y que sus responsabilidades la esperaban lejos de donde yo vivía. Me sentí confundido y un poco triste, ya que no estaba seguro si volveríamos a vernos.

Durante los días siguientes, pensé mucho en ella. Decidí escribirle un mensaje para agradecerle por la conversación y la compañía. Para mi sorpresa, contestó rápidamente y me propuso un encuentro en la ciudad la próxima semana.

Aunque no sabía lo que pasaría después, sentí que algo nuevo comenzaba, algo lleno de posibilidades y sin miedo a lo desconocido. A veces, basta un momento sencillo para que la vida tome un rumbo inesperado.

This expression means to be somewhere only temporarily, often because you are traveling or just passing through. You can reuse it when you want to say you are not staying long. Example: "Estoy de paso por la ciudad esta semana."
