A지만 B
Use -지만 after a verb or adjective stem to show contrast. It means "but" or "although." You can reuse it in everyday situations when one fact or feeling is different from the next. Example: "비쌌지만 샀어요." — "It was expensive, but I bought it." In the story, "당황했지만" shows that Minsu felt confused, but still kept going.
비쌌지만 샀어요.
It was expensive, but I bought it.
