지난 토요일, 나는 학교 운동장에서 축구 시합을 관중으로 보기로 했다.
그 날은 아주 더웠고, 많은 학생들이 운동장에서 뛰고 있었다. 나는 친구들과 함께 경기를 기다리며 음료수를 마셨다.

Notice the language
Add -기로 했다 to a verb stem to say that someone decided to do something. It is very useful for plans and decisions. You can reuse it in many everyday sentences. Example: 주말에 친구를 만나기로 했다. = I decided to meet a friend on the weekend.
