아침에 나는 버스 정류장에 갔어요. 날씨는 조금 흐렸고, 사람들이 많았어요.
버스가 왔을 때 모두가 줄을 섰어요. 나는 자리에 앉으려고 했는데, 누군가 내 가방을 잘못 들고 갔어요. 나는 빨리 일어나 "저기요! 내 가방이에요!"라고 말했어요.
사람들이 내 가방을 찾으려고 도왔어요. 하지만 가방이 어디 있는지 몰랐어요. 버스는 이미 출발했어요.

Notice the language
Use this pattern after a verb stem to mean that someone tried or intended to do something, but the situation changed or an unexpected result followed. It is very useful for short, everyday stories with contrast. Example: "자리에 앉으려고 했는데 사람이 많았어요." This means "I tried to sit down, but there were many people." You can reuse it whenever one action is interrupted or followed by a different result.
