숲에서 토끼와 거북이가 달리기 경주를 하기로 했어요.
토끼는 자신이 빨라서 쉽게 이길 수 있다고 생각했어요. 경주가 시작하자, 토끼는 아주 빠르게 뛰었어요. 거북이는 천천히, 하지만 꾸준히 걸었어요.
토끼는 숲 나무 아래에서 잠깐 쉬었어요. 그는 거북이가 느리기 때문에 걱정하지 않았어요. 그런데 토끼가 잠에서 깨어나 보니 거북이가 거의 결승선에 다다르고 있었어요.

Notice the language
Use -았어요 / -었어요 to talk about a completed action in the past. It is very common in simple stories and daily conversation. You can reuse it to describe what happened: "토끼는 아주 빠르게 뛰었어요." and "거북이는 천천히 걸었어요.".
