Joris en zijn ochtendwandeling

Joris heeft elke ochtend een klein ritueel. Hij loopt rustig door het park vlak bij zijn huis.

Vandaag voelt hij zich anders. Zijn benen zijn moe, en hij ademt snel. Hij stopt en kijkt naar de mensen om zich heen.

Er is een vrouw die langzaam loopt met haar hond. Zij lacht naar Joris en zegt: "Doe rustig aan, het is goed om te bewegen, maar luister naar je lichaam."

Joris denkt na. Hij wil zich beter voelen, maar soms is het moeilijk om te weten wat je lichaam nodig heeft.

Hij besluit om de volgende dagen kortere wandelingen te maken. Ook zal hij meer water drinken en vaker pauzes nemen.

Thuis probeert hij te ontspannen. Hij leest een boek en eet een stuk fruit. Het helpt hem om rustig te worden.

De volgende ochtend voelt Joris zich opgeruimder. Hij loopt weer door het park, maar nu met een glimlach.

Hij weet nog niet precies wat hij nodig heeft om sterk te zijn, maar hij heeft geleerd om goed te luisteren en langzaam te verbeteren.

Joris' ochtendwandeling is geen groot avontuur, maar het helpt hem om rustig te worden en beter voor zichzelf te zorgen.

zich voelen + adjective

Dutch often uses a reflexive pronoun with voelen to say how someone feels. Change the pronoun to match the subject: ik voel me, jij voelt je, hij/zij voelt zich. You can reuse this with an adjective to describe a state or feeling: "Ik voel me moe."
