De Regenachtige Middag van Noor

Noor zit binnen en kijkt naar buiten. Het regent hard.

Ze denkt na over haar dag. Noor voelt zich vandaag niet zo sterk. Haar hoofd doet pijn en haar keel is droog.

Haar moeder komt binnen met een glas water en zegt: "Rust maar uit, Noor. Water helpt je beter te voelen."

Noor neemt kleine slokjes en sluit haar ogen. Ze luistert naar het geluid van de regen.

Plotseling hoort ze haar vader lachen in de keuken. Hij maakt soep voor haar.

De geur van de soep is warm en lekker. Noor voelt zich een beetje beter als ze eet.

De tijd gaat langzaam. Buiten stopt de regen tijdelijk, maar het wordt weer donker.

Noor denkt: "Misschien word ik morgen sterker, maar vandaag moet ik rustig zijn."

Ze blijft liggen en kijkt naar de wolken en de regen op het raam.

De dag is stil en langzaam, zonder grote gebeurtenissen, maar met veel zorg en kleine momenten van rust.

Noor weet dat soms een dag gewoon een dag is, waar je niets hoeft te doen behalve wachten en hopen.

Rust maar uit

This is a gentle way to tell someone to rest. Maar softens the command, so it sounds kind and reassuring. You can reuse it when someone is tired or ill: Rust maar uit, je bent moe.
