في صباح يوم عادي، دخلت لين إلى صفها الدراسي لتجد ورقة صغيرة موضوعّة على مكتبها.
كانت الورقة تحمل كلمات غامضة تشير إلى تحدٍ ذهني يجب عليها حله قبل نهاية اليوم. لم تفهم معنى الرسالة في البداية، لكن الفضول دفعها إلى البحث عن الإجابة.
بدأت لين تنظر حولها، محاولة أن تعرف من أرسلها ولماذا. لم تشارك أحدًا، رغبة منها في اكتشاف السر بنفسها.

Notice the language
Use بلا before a noun to mean "without". It is common in written Arabic and sounds a little more formal than من دون. The story uses it in بلا أجوبة and بلا تفسير. Example: بقيت الأسئلة بلا أجوبة. You can reuse the pattern with many nouns, for example: خرجتُ من الاجتماع بلا إجابة واضحة.
