Notice the language
Attach -기 시작하다 to a verb stem to show that an action or change begins. It is useful for describing the start of a process or a sudden change in a story. Example: "심장이 빠르게 뛰기 시작했다." = "His heart started beating fast." You can reuse this pattern with many verbs, such as 걷기 시작하다, 울기 시작하다, or 좋아지기 시작하다.
