Tom wandelt vaak in het bos dichtbij zijn huis. Hij geniet van het groen, de bomen en de frisse lucht. Op een dag ziet hij donkere wolken en voelt de wind steeds sterker worden.
Plotseling begint het te regenen en de wind blaast harde takken van de bomen. Tom schrikt en wil snel naar huis, maar het pad is glad en moeilijk te lopen.
Hij zoekt een plek om te schuilen en vindt een grote holte tussen de bomen. Daar wacht hij tot de storm voorbij is. Tijdens het wachten kijkt hij naar de regen en denkt na over hoe krachtig de natuur is.
Als de storm stopt, loopt Tom voorzichtig naar huis. Hij voelt zich blij dat hij veilig is, maar ook dat hij de natuur beter begrijpt. Die dag leert hij dat het belangrijk is om altijd op het weer te letten en voorzichtig te zijn in het bos.

Notice the language
Use 'tot' to say that you wait until something happens. After 'tot' you can use a full clause. This is very useful in everyday Dutch. Example: 'Ik wacht tot de bus komt.' In the story: 'Daar wacht hij tot de storm voorbij is.'

I wait until the bus comes.
