في يوم حار، قررت ليان أن تصنع عصير ليمون بارد.
جمعت الليمون والسكر والماء في كؤوس جميلة. بدأت تضغط الليمون بيدها، لكن العصير طار خارج الكأس على الأرض.
ضحكت ليان وقالت: "يا له من عصير مضحك!" حاولت أن تنظف الأرض بسرعة لكنها انزلقت قليلاً ووقعت على الأرض.
فكرت، هل تكمل صنع العصير أم تذهب للعب في الخارج؟ قررت أن تكمل، لكنها هذه المرة كانت أكثر حذراً.

Notice the language
After verbs like قرر and حاول, Arabic often uses أن + a present-tense verb to mean 'to do something' or 'to continue doing something'. It is a very common pattern for decisions and attempts. You can reuse it in sentences like: قررتُ أن أدرس اليوم. In the story, the same pattern appears in قررت أن تكمل and حاولت أن تنظف.
قررتُ أن أدرس اليوم.
