Cada tarde, bajo un gran árbol en la orilla del río, Esteban llevaba su cuaderno para dibujar y escribir.
El árbol tenía hojas de un verde muy brillante y su tronco estaba lleno de marcas y dibujos. Esteban pensaba que cada señal era como una historia escondida en la madera.
Un día, mientras dibujaba, escuchó un sonido extraño: parecía un susurro que venía del árbol. Al principio, pensó que era el viento, pero el sonido continuó y parecía formar palabras.

A veces, la magia no está en lo que realmente sucede, sino en lo que sentimos y soñamos junto a un lugar especial.

Notice the language
Use parecer + infinitive to say that something seems to happen or to be true, without saying it as certain. In the story, 'parecía formar palabras' shows that the sound seemed to form words.
