Η Μαρία και ο Νίκος αποφάσισαν να περάσουν μια μέρα στη φύση. Πήγαν κοντά σε μια μικρή λίμνη που δεν είχε πολύ κόσμο. Ο ήλιος έλαμπε και τα πουλιά τραγουδούσαν. Ήταν μια τέλεια μέρα για εξερεύνηση.
Καθώς περπατούσαν δίπλα στη λίμνη, είδαν κάτι παράξενο στο νερό. Ήταν μια παλιά ξύλινη βάρκα που είχε σπάσει και είχε καλυφθεί από φύλλα και κλαδιά. Ο Νίκος ήθελε να ανέβει μέσα, αλλά η Μαρία φοβόταν πως μπορεί να είναι επικίνδυνο.
Τελικά, αποφάσισαν να καθίσουν κοντά στη λίμνη και να παρατηρήσουν τη φύση. Είδαν διάφορα ζώα να πίνουν νερό και πολλά έντομα να πετούν γύρω τους. Ένιωσαν ήρεμοι και χαρούμενοι που ήταν εκεί χωρίς να χρειαστεί να αγγίξουν τη βάρκα.
