Heute ist Tom auf dem Weg zur Arbeit. Es regnet draußen und Tom hat seinen blauen Regenschirm dabei.
Als Tom an der Bushaltestelle steht, sieht er, wie der Wind den Regenschirm plötzlich hochhebt und davonweht.
Tom läuft dem Regenschirm nach. Er ruft laut: „Warte! Komm zurück!“ Aber der Wind ist stark, und der Regenschirm fliegt über die Straße.
Andere Menschen helfen Tom, den Regenschirm zu fangen. Ein Mann fängt den Schirm mit einem schnellen Griff.
Tom bedankt sich. Doch dann sieht er: Der Schirm ist kaputt. Er ist gebogen und kann nicht mehr benutzt werden.
Tom fühlt sich traurig, weil er jetzt nass wird. Er überlegt kurz und geht dann zur nächsten Bäckerei.
Dort kauft Tom sich einen kleinen, neuen Regenschirm. Er ist nicht blau, sondern rot.
Tom geht weiter zur Arbeit. Der Regen hört langsam auf. Tom denkt darüber nach, wie schnell sich Dinge ändern können.
Am Ende des Tages nimmt Tom den roten Regenschirm mit nach Hause. Er lächelt und sagt: „Manchmal ist ein neuer Anfang nicht schlecht.“
