C'était un dimanche matin ensoleillé dans le petit village de Lormont.
Alexandre, un garçon de 12 ans, voulait absolument jouer au football avec ses amis au parc. Il avait apporté son ballon préféré, celui qu'il avait depuis trois ans.
Au début du match, tout allait bien. Alexandre courait, tirait, et riait avec les autres.
Mais soudain, le ballon a commencé à rouler très vite, sortant du terrain de jeu. Il dévalait la colline, traversait des buissons, et roulait presque jusqu'à la rivière.
Tout le groupe a couru derrière, mais le ballon semblait ne pas vouloir s'arrêter.
Alexandre se sentait frustré. Il voulait récupérer son ballon, mais la nature semblait jouer contre lui. Il s'est arrêté un moment, reprenant son souffle, regardant le ballon s’éloigner.
Puis, il a eu une idée. Il a cherché un bâton long et est allé doucement vers l'endroit où le ballon semblait s'arrêter.
Avec patience, il a réussi à toucher le ballon et à le ramener vers lui.
Ses amis l'ont aidé à le récupérer complètement. Ils étaient fatigués, mais heureux de retrouver leur jeu.
Ce jour-là, Alexandre a compris qu'il ne faut pas toujours courir après tout rapidement, parfois, il faut un peu de calme et de réflexion pour réussir.
Le ballon ne voulait peut-être pas s'arrêter, mais Alexandre non plus ne voulait pas abandonner.
Le jeu a continué, et le soleil a brillé jusqu'à ce que la soirée arrive.

Notice the language
This pattern gives general advice or a rule. It is formed with il ne faut pas + infinitive, and it means that something should not be done. You can reuse it in many situations: "Il ne faut pas courir trop vite." The story uses the same idea to say that you should not always chase everything quickly.
