Tom gaat elke ochtend naar school. Vandaag is het zijn eerste dag in groep drie.
In de klas zit Tom naast Anna. Ze is heel vriendelijk. De juf heet mevrouw De Vries. Ze zegt: "Welkom, Tom!"
Tom voelt zich een beetje zenuwachtig. Hij weet niet goed wat hij moet doen. De juf leest een verhaal voor uit een boek. Iedereen luistert.
Na het verhaal wil Tom iets zeggen, maar hij durft niet. Dan vraagt de juf aan Tom: "Wil je iets vertellen over je huis?"
Tom zegt rustig: "Ik woon dicht bij het park."
Iedereen lacht vriendelijk en Tom voelt zich blij. Hij merkt dat school leuk is. Aan het eind van de dag zegt Tom tegen zijn moeder: "Ik wil morgen weer naar school!"

Notice the language
Use wil + an infinitive to say what someone wants to do. It is a very common pattern for wishes and simple plans. In a question, Wil je ...? means "Do you want to ...?" Example: "Ik wil morgen weer naar school!" = "I want to go back to school tomorrow!".
