Un mensaje en el tren

El tren estaba lleno de gente esa tarde cuando Sofía subió al vagón con su bolso y su libro favorito.

No esperaba ver a nadie conocido, pero de repente vio a Álvaro, un chico que había conocido hacía tiempo en una cafetería.

Sofía dudó si acercarse o no. Álvaro estaba hablando con alguien y parecía ocupado.

Decidió sentarse cerca y leer, pero sin poder concentrarse, ella escribió un mensaje en un papel: "Hola, ¿quieres tomar un café?"

Cuando el tren se detuvo unos minutos, Sofía dejó el papel caer cerca de Álvaro y bajó en la siguiente estación.

No estaba segura de qué pasaría, pero quería ser valiente. Pensó que a veces, dejar las palabras abiertas es mejor que esperar.

Al día siguiente, recibió un mensaje en su teléfono. Era Álvaro, que había encontrado la nota y quería verse.

Pero al final, Sofía decidió no responder inmediatamente. Quería pensar y sentir qué era lo mejor.

Durante unos días, disfrutó de la espera, de imaginar mil historias y posibilidades, sin prisas ni certezas.

La historia no tenía un final claro, pero para Sofía, el simple acto de ofrecer una oportunidad ya era importante.

Aprendió que a veces, el amor está en esos pequeños riesgos y en saber esperar sin presión.

El tren siguió su camino y Sofía miró por la ventana, sonriendo con calma al mundo que la rodeaba.

decidir + infinitivo

Use decidir + infinitive to say that someone makes a choice about what to do. You can also make it negative with decidir no + infinitive. Example: "Sofía decidió no responder inmediatamente." This pattern is very useful for talking about decisions and plans.
