Je m'appelle Paul et j'adore voyager. L'été dernier, j'ai décidé de visiter une petite île loin de la ville.
Le bateau est parti tôt le matin. Le soleil brillait et la mer était calme. J'étais très content et prêt pour mon aventure.
Pendant la traversée, un gros nuage est arrivé rapidement et il a commencé à pleuvoir. Le vent devenait fort. Le bateau bougeait beaucoup et certains passagers avaient peur.
Quand nous sommes enfin arrivés, j'étais trempé et un peu fatigué. Mais l'île était magnifique, avec de grandes plages et des arbres verts partout.
Le problème, c'est que j'avais perdu ma valise dans la tempête. Heureusement, les habitants étaient très gentils. Ils m'ont prêté des vêtements et m'ont aidé à trouver un magasin.
J'ai passé trois jours sur l'île. J'ai découvert des endroits incroyables et j'ai mangé des fruits frais. Le dernier jour, j'ai retrouvé ma valise grâce à un pêcheur.
Ce voyage ne s'est pas passé comme je l'avais imaginé, mais il restera un souvenir très spécial pour moi.

Notice the language
Use aider à + infinitive to say that someone helps another person do something. This pattern is very reusable in everyday French. Example: "Mon ami m'a aidé à porter ma valise." In the story, the same pattern appears in "Ils m'ont aidé à trouver un magasin.".
Mon ami m'a aidé à porter ma valise.
My friend helped me carry my suitcase.
