The Island Without Maps

No one in the village had ever been to the small island that sat quietly in the middle of the big lake. It was surrounded by fog most days and looked mysterious.

One afternoon, Liam and his sister Ella decided to discover the island. They prepared a small boat and packed some food and water. They didn’t take a map because nobody had ever drawn one.

They decided to take the box back home without opening it. On the way back, the fog returned, and the island disappeared behind it.

At home, they waited a few days before opening the box. Inside, they found old letters and photographs but no explanation about who left them.
