Lan looked at the bright cloth on the table. Tomorrow was the big festival in her village, and she wanted to wear a new dress.

Her grandmother said, “This cloth is special. It shows who we are.” Lan knew this was more than just a dress; it was part of their culture.

Lan tried to imagine wearing the dress with all its colors and patterns. Each pattern told a story about her family and the land where they lived.

That night, she could not sleep. She thought about the stories her grandmother told her and felt proud.

At the festival, everyone wore colorful clothes, but Lan's dress was different. Some people looked at it and whispered. Lan felt a little shy.

Then, a man came close and smiled. “I know this pattern. It is from far away. Your family must have many stories.”

Lan nodded and told him a little about her grandmother and their village.

The man said, “Sometimes, we forget old stories. Your dress helps us remember.”

Lan smiled, feeling happy. The festival was loud and full of life, but her dress was quiet and full of meaning.

Later, Lan walked near the river. She watched the light on the water and thought about the stories that connect people to their past.

She did not need anyone's words to feel proud. The dress was enough.

Lan decided to learn more stories from her grandmother and to keep them alive in her own way.

The festival would end, but the stories and the dress would stay with her, like a small light in the dark.

Lan’s heart was full of calm joy, knowing that culture is not just about parties but about keeping the past with us every day.
