This morning, almost everyone in class was talking about something strange. Mrs. Lee, our teacher, looked worried. Our homework from last night was missing!

It was unusual because we always put our homework in the same box before class. Today, the box was empty. No papers at all!

Tom, who sits near the box, said, "Maybe someone took them as a joke." People started guessing what happened. Some thought a dog might have eaten the papers, others said the wind blew them away.

Mrs. Lee asked us all to help look for the homework. We searched the classroom, under tables, even in the trash bin, but no luck.

I remembered that the window was open. Maybe that was the reason. We walked outside and saw some papers near the big tree outside the school.

When we picked them up, we saw everyone’s homework, a little dirty but safe. The wind had blown them out from the box through the open window.

Mrs. Lee smiled and said, "This is a good lesson about keeping things safe. And about listening carefully when something strange happens."

We put the homework back in the box and closed the window.

Afterwards, we laughed about the lost homework and how a little wind created a big problem.

I thought it was interesting how a small thing like an open window could cause so much confusion. Sometimes, problems are not always big, but they still teach us something new.

The day ended quietly, with our homework safe and a new story to tell in school.
