This morning, Mia walked into the classroom with a big smile. Today was the day for the paper plane contest.

All the children made their planes at home. They wanted to see whose plane would fly the farthest.

Mia's plane was very colorful and bright. She hoped it would fly very far.

When the contest started, the children threw their planes one by one. Some flew high, some flew low.

Mia threw her plane carefully. It flew straight for a moment but then went down quickly.

She felt a little sad. Some children laughed and some cheered for their own planes.

The teacher smiled and said, "This is not just about winning. It is about trying and having fun."

Then, the teacher threw her own plane. It flew very short but made everyone laugh.

Mia joined the laughter. She looked around at the happy faces and thought, "This day is good even without winning."

After the contest, the children talked about how to make better planes next time.

Mia knew she would try again. The fun was in flying, not in winning.

The day of the paper planes was full of joy, tries, and smiles. Mia went home happy, ready to make a new plane one day soon.
